Letters from the Editors

To Our Readers,

First of all, thank you for reading the Licton Springs review. It’s been a lot of work, and as I’m writing this I find myself in disbelief that by the time you will be reading this, the publication will be complete. The road to get here was an interesting one, and it marks the first time that I helped create something that wasn’t for myself, but for others. The idea that I was able to help put this thing together is a strange one, that my name and this letter will be available for all to see.

It must be even more strange for the people whose work we have published. Your personal labors have borne fruit, and now it’s out in the open, in a form that’s concrete. It’s not often we get recognition for our creativity. Even more rare is to have something that, no matter how small, will exist after we’ve moved on in life. I hope it’s not the last time our contributors are recognized, and I hope that it’s not the last time I get to work on something like this: something worth looking back on, something that you, dear reader, and I can hold in your hands.

Sincerely,

Samuel Mixon

Managing Editor
